De facto morality police belonging to the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice have reportedly tortured and executed an unhoused man in the Jabal-us-Saraj district of Parwan province following a public protest against regime leadership.

According to local eyewitnesses, the victim—a homeless individual well-known to merchants in the central Jabal-us-Saraj market—began shouting slogans openly condemning top leadership and labeling the administration illegal.

Brutal Assault and Extrajudicial Execution

Accounts from nearby shopkeepers and residents detail an escalation of violent enforcement by de facto Vice and Virtue militiamen:

  • Severe Physical Abuse: Enforcers assaulted the vocal protester, inflicting extensive injuries, including breaking his limbs, in an immediate effort to compel silence.
  • Persistent Public Dissent: Witnesses noted that despite enduring severe trauma to his face and head, the victim continued to yell anti-regime slogans across the market area.
  • Point-Blank Execution: Escalating the violence, morality police personnel drew firearms and shot the man dead in broad daylight in full view of local bystanders.

Concealment of Remains and Institutionalized Violence

Following the killing, de facto security forces immediately removed the victim’s body from the market square. Local residents report that no information has been provided regarding the whereabouts of his remains or designated burial location, leaving community members unable to verify custody details.

The extrajudicial killing in Jabal-us-Saraj highlights the expanding, unchecked enforcement powers granted to the Vice and Virtue ministry under recent legal decrees. Human rights monitors continue to document severe physical violence, arbitrary detentions, and public beatings meted out by morality police units against citizens engaging in minor acts of public dissent or perceived moral infractions.
