Five armed Taliban militants posing as an inspection delegation from the Ministry of Justice raided and looted a residential house in Phase Four of Omid-e Sabz Township, located in western Kabul.

According to local reports and eyewitness accounts, the armed men forcibly entered the premises, confined the family members into a single room under armed guard, and systematically ransacked the residence, stealing all valuables, electronics, and personal property before fleeing. Residents in the predominantly Shia-populated township report that arbitrary home invasions, forced evictions, and illegal property seizures under the guise of state inspection have reached unprecedented levels.

The incident comes amid broader allegations targeting senior de facto officials, including Minister of Justice Abdul Hakim Sharaye, who has been accused of orchestrating coercive land clearance campaigns, arbitrary detentions, and imposing illegal monthly levies on private homeowners across western Kabul neighborhoods. Despite formal property deeds and conflicting directives from judicial oversight bodies, local residents state that no state institution is investigating complaints, leaving urban populations exposed to extortion and armed looting.

Human rights monitors and civil society representatives warn that the collapse of institutional accountability and the misuse of official authority by armed regime members continue to undermine urban security, driving widespread fear and displacement across vulnerable communities.
