Forces belonging to the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) executed a targeted attack against de facto Taliban intelligence personnel in Pul-e Alam, the capital of Logar province.
According to an official operational release issued by the AFF, the strike took place at approximately 7:10 p.m. in the First Security District of Pul-e Alam, in close proximity to the de facto provincial police headquarters. Resistance fighters engaged a cluster of de facto intelligence personnel, killing three members on the spot and wounding two others before successfully withdrawing from the site. De facto administrative and security officials in Logar have not issued a formal comment regarding the operation.
The attack in Logar highlights a strategic geographical expansion by the AFF, which has traditionally focused its high-visibility engagements in northern border provinces such as Badakhshan and Nuristan, as well as Urban hubs in Kabul and Nangarhar. Security analysts note that executing coordinated strikes in central provinces near the capital demonstrates enhanced operational reach and intelligence gathering by anti-regime front movements.
The incident comes amid a broader surge in urban ambushes, roadside explosive attacks, and guerrilla skirmishes targeting de facto intelligence and military infrastructure across multiple provinces. In response, central de facto security organs have intensified neighborhood sweeps, increased checkpoint presence, and heightened administrative surveillance across key provincial capitals.
