The body of a 50-year-old man bearing severe signs of torture and physical violence has been discovered in Jabal-us-Siraj district, Parwan province, raising fresh concerns over rising extrajudicial killings and unchecked lawlessness across central regions.

Local sources confirmed that the victim, identified as Wahid, was a resident of the Gulghundi area in Charikar, the provincial capital of Parwan. His body was uncovered in Jabal-us-Siraj district displaying clear marks of fatal injuries inflicted prior to his death.

The motives behind the murder remain unknown, and no suspects have been identified or taken into custody by de facto law enforcement officers. Local residents report that de facto security personnel took possession of the body but have provided no public details regarding an official investigation.

The discovery follows a disturbing pattern of targeted assassinations, mysterious homicides, and violent abductions reported across northern and central provinces. Human rights monitors emphasize that the absence of functional legal oversight and independent forensic investigations under de facto rule has created an environment where violent crimes go largely unpunished.
