Armed opposition against the de facto administration continues to maintain security friction across northern provinces. According to an official announcement by the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, their forces successfully executed a targeted tactical operation against Taliban military positions in the Fereng district of Baghlan province on the evening of Wednesday, 8 Mizan 1405.

The offensive was launched under the cover of night at approximately 11:00 p.m. According to the front’s statement, the calibrated strike dealt a direct blow to the stationed personnel, resulting in the death of three Taliban members and leaving two others wounded. The resistance forces confirmed that after successfully completing the operation, all participating personnel disengaged cleanly and returned to their secure bases without facing any casualties.

Baghlan province, particularly rugged zones like Andrab, Nahrin, and Fering, has consistently remained a focal point for low-intensity guerrilla operations and localized clashes. As various opposition factions sustain tactical campaigns against the regime, the security landscape across northern Afghanistan continues to experience persistent volatility and challenges to central control.
