Armed Taliban members operating under the guise of an official Ministry of Justice inspection delegation forcibly entered and looted a residential property in the Omid Sabz township of western Kabul.
According to local sources and reports confirmed on Thursday, October 15 (23 Mizaan), several armed men identifying themselves as delegates from the Ministry of Justice’s land grab verification commission entered the private residence. Sources revealed that the armed enforcers confined family members to a single room before searching the premises and stealing cash, gold, and personal valuables.
This incident marks the second reported residential robbery carried out by de facto enforcers in Omid Sabz within a single week. Residents report that mistreatment, extortion, and arbitrary break-ins have escalated dramatically since the de facto Ministry of Justice declared land in the township illegally appropriated, imposing retroactive rents and forcibly evicting dozens of families who constructed homes with personal funds.
Local residents express growing fear and frustration, noting that de facto law enforcement and judicial bodies consistently ignore public complaints regarding extortion and property theft by security personnel. Despite internal administrative reviews regarding township land titles, Ministry of Justice teams have accelerated house-by-house inspections, forcibly removing residents and repurposing confiscated properties for de facto members.
