Security forces successfully repelled a coordinated nighttime assault by militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khwarij (FAK) and Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) on the strategic Ziarat Cross Customs Check Post near the Spin Boldak–Chaman border corridor.
The hostile elements attempted to storm the vital checkpoint—tasked with monitoring cross-border transit, curbing narcotics trafficking, and intercepting non-customs-paid vehicles—prompting a prompt and fierce response from police, Frontier Corps (FC), and customs protection personnel stationed at the site. During the intense exchange of fire, a significant number of the attacking terrorists—preliminarily reported as ten—were neutralized, forcing the remainder to flee under heavy fire.
While the engagement resulted in injuries to a customs official and several security personnel, Quick Response Forces (QRF) were immediately mobilized to secure the area. Comprehensive search and clearance operations remain underway to track down fleeing combatants and dismantle the threat matrix along the border.
This decisive tactical neutralization underscores the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s security apparatus to safeguard critical trade routes and dismantle cross-border terrorist networks intent on destabilizing the region.
