BAGHLAN — The National Resistance Front (NRF) has announced that its fighters have successfully ended Taliban control over the strategic Bano area within the Andarab district of Baghlan province following a series of targeted resistance operations.

According to statements released by the group, resistance fighters have firmly established their presence in the locality and raised their flag. The development marks a notable tactical shift in the rugged northern valleys, which have frequently witnessed intermittent clashes and localized insurgent activity against the interim administration.

Independent verification of the territorial claims remains challenging given the remote terrain and strict information controls maintained by the ruling authorities. However, regional security analysts note that the persistent pockets of armed resistance in provinces like Baghlan and Panjshir continue to pose ongoing security management challenges for Kabul, underscoring the fragile nature of central control in remote northern enclaves.
