TTP-linked Afghan militant Dr. Obaidullah Saeed Badri was killed along with three associates during an operation conducted by Pakistani security forces in Kurram District, according to Pakistani intelligence sources.

Badri, who was reportedly associated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was among four individuals killed during the security operation. The development highlights the continued security operations targeting militant networks operating in areas near Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan.

According to available information, Badri graduated from Kabul’s Razi Institute of Health Sciences in January 2026. Despite his medical background, he was allegedly linked to militant activities associated with the TTP.

Badri was the son of Ghulam Ghaus Salehi, who was also a doctor. He was reportedly a resident of Shahi Qala village in Afghanistan’s Logar Province.

The operation in Kurram comes amid continued security concerns along Pakistan’s western border and growing efforts by Pakistani authorities to disrupt militant networks. Kurram District, which borders Afghanistan, has previously witnessed militant activity and security operations.

The killing of Badri and his associates is expected to draw further attention to the movement of Afghan nationals with alleged militant links across the region. Pakistani authorities have repeatedly emphasized the need for action against militant groups they say are using Afghan territory to plan or facilitate attacks against Pakistan.
