Local sources in Afghanistan’s Paktika province have reported the discovery of the body of a student from a religious school, found hanging in Khoshmand district.
According to sources cited by the 8 AM newspaper, the student’s body was discovered hanging from a tree on Tuesday, September 21. The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, and it has not been established whether the child died by suicide or was killed by another person.
The incident comes amid reports of several deaths involving murder and suicide across different parts of Afghanistan. According to local reports, at least 13 people have reportedly died in such incidents across various parts of the country over the past week.
A few days earlier, local sources in Farah province also reported that the body of a young man had been found hanging.
