The Taliban Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has announced the approval of a development plan for Section 2.1 of Phase One of the “New Kabul City” project.
According to the ministry, the approved plan covers approximately 7,200 jeribs of land and includes a range of residential, commercial and public infrastructure projects.
The plan reportedly provides for the development of more than 10,000 residential plots, along with nearly 900 residential and commercial buildings. More than 200 factories are also included in the plan, highlighting an industrial component alongside housing and commercial development.
The project will also feature schools, health centers and public spaces as part of the planned urban infrastructure. These facilities are intended to support the needs of residents and contribute to the development of the new urban area.
The ministry said the approval represents a step forward in the implementation of the first phase of the New Kabul City project. The development is expected to combine residential areas with commercial and industrial facilities and essential public services.
