KABUL: A 22-year-old bride was killed during wedding ceremonies in Dand district of Kandahar province after a dispute between family members, according to local sources.

According to the sources, the alleged shooter, identified as Abdul Wahed, opened fire on the bride after the marriage ceremony. The woman, who was 22 years old, died as a result of the shooting.
Sources said Abdul Wahed was the uncle of the groom. After shooting the bride, he allegedly turned the weapon on himself and sustained serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries, according to the sources.
