The de facto Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has announced a nationwide ban on the production, import, distribution, and use of firecrackers, responding to widespread public complaints regarding nighttime celebrations and noise pollution in residential valleys and urban centers.
In an official public statement, enforcement authorities declared that loud pyrotechnic displays severely disrupt public tranquility and induce psychological distress among residents.
Strict Enforcement and Legal Warnings
Under the newly enacted directive, all commercial and public utilization of firecrackers is strictly outlawed across provincial jurisdictions:
- Comprehensive Commercial Ban: The prohibition covers every stage of the supply chain, rendering the manufacture, importation, wholesale, and retail sale of firecrackers entirely illegal.
- Public Justification: De facto officials emphasized that sudden explosions and festive noise generation cause unwarranted fear and psychological harm to vulnerable populations, including children and the elderly.
- Threat of Legal Penalties: The ministry explicitly warned traders, vendors, and citizens that any violation of the decree will result in immediate confiscation of goods and strict judicial action against offenders.
Broadening Social Restrictions
The ban on firecrackers represents the latest in a series of sweeping behavioral and lifestyle regulations imposed by the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
While municipal authorities have framed the measure as a response to public nuisance complaints, critics note that the expanding decree reflects an increasingly pervasive administrative grip over everyday civilian life, celebratory traditions, and commercial markets across the country.
