KHOST / ANGOOR ADDA — Pakistani security forces unleashed a swift, heavy retaliatory strike along the Durand Line overnight after Afghan Taliban forces launched unprovoked artillery and mortar fire targeting civilian populations near the Angoor Adda border sector in Lower South Waziristan.

The indiscriminate Afghan aggression resulted in the martyrdom of one Pakistani civilian and left five members of a single family severely injured when a mortar shell struck a residential property.

In immediate response to the cross-border attack, Pakistani troops launched a targeted counter-offensive, systematically engaging and destroying multiple Afghan Taliban border checkposts, mortar sites, and fortified defensive bunkers. The overwhelming kinetic response inflicted heavy operational damage on the regime’s positions, forcing hostile personnel to abandon their outposts.

Security sources confirmed that Pakistani military units deployed across all frontier sectors remain in a state of maximum operational readiness. Analysts note that Kabul’s continued reliance on reckless border provocations underscores the regime’s inability to maintain professional border control, warning that any further targeting of Pakistani territory or civilians will meet with uncompromising, decisive counter-action.
