KABUL: An explosion damaged a Taliban security booth in Herat city, according to the Taliban security command in Herat.
Seyyed Masoud Hosseini, spokesperson for the Taliban security command in Herat, said preliminary investigations into the incident had been conducted.

The Taliban official added that no civilians were injured in the incident.
The exact extent of the material damage was not immediately clear, and no further details were provided about the type or quantity of ammunition involved.
Explosions involving ammunition and weapons storage facilities have previously raised safety concerns in Afghanistan, where security forces operate from various checkpoints and security installations across urban and rural areas.
The latest incident occurred inside Herat city, but officials did not indicate that it was connected to any armed attack or external threat.
Authorities said the initial investigation pointed to an accidental incident. Further details could emerge if the Taliban security command releases additional findings regarding the circumstances of the explosion.
